Veronica Cruz
Founding Partner
Veronica is a founding partner at Assassi & Cruz Law. Veronica has litigated consumer and employment matters including sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower, and retaliation. She has had the opportunity to be involved in managing several mass arbitration portfolios. She had actively litigated class action matters involving wage-and-hour, PAGA, and CLRA. She has litigated dozens of cases involving California anti-spam litigation. Veronica has also been involved in Title IX, sexual molestation, ADA, FAPE, and accommodation cases.
Veronica is dedicated to helping consumers and employees who are wronged every day and feel they have no recourse. Veronica is fluent in Spanish and takes a particular interest in being able to help Hispanic and Spanish speaking Americans who are often taken advantage of the most due to their lack of fluency in English. She loves helping those who are underserved and underrepresented, which is why she founded Assassi & Cruz Law Firm. Though she is a fierce advocate for her clients, she also has compassion and sympathy needed to make her clients’ difficult situations manageable and less painful.
Veronica graduated from UCLA and then attended Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. While at Pepperdine, she served as Vice Chair for the Mexican American Bar Association. She also participated in the Education Law Clinic and Veterans Treatment Court Practicum in Ventura County. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Education Law in 2016. She was the Vice Chair of the Mexican American Bar Association and was a Certified Law Clerk for the Veterans Treatment Court Practicum.
